So our cautious optimism has turned into cautious excitement, joy, disbelief, surrealism.....we accepted a referral for two beautiful toddlers.... a boy and.... a girl!!! We are overwhelmed with love for these kiddos already!!! Their sweet, sad eyes tug at our hearts and we can't stop looking at the pictures!! Unfortunately, we are unable to post the pics until they are officially "ours" but I can assure you they are gorgeous (as all Ethiopian kiddos are!!)
A few weeks ago we were given a referral to review. We decided to pass, knowing somewhere inside of us that something just wasn't "right". We felt such compassion for the children however something told us to wait. This go around I was overwhelmed with an immense energy and sense of immediate love and longing and Steve felt it too! These are our kids!! WOW!!
Congratulations!!! What an exciting week! We had a similar experience last week and are so happy that we were able to see that the first opportunity wasn't necessarily the best...and now we are over the moon about our little peanut - a 3yr old girl with whom hubby and I are already madly in love!
